Pizzo d'Evigno - 989 meters

Monte Torre, better known as Pizzo d'Evigno, is a 1000 meters peak. This mountain is very close to Mar Ligure and it's located in the first hinterland of Diano Marina and Imperia. Because of its position it can be reached by a great variety of paths that starts from the hinterland of Imperia, Golfo Dianese and the westernmost part of the Province of Savona.

Once the peak has been reached, a stunning view repay our efforts: Golfo Dianese and Gallinara Island of Albenga are only a small taste of the panorama that awaits us. Bright days and a bit of luck can surprise us with further colours on the horizon: the forms that emerge are not clouds, but the northern coasts of Corse Island!

This is the reason why, every year, thousands of Italian and all the world hikers choice Pizzo d'Evigno trails. But...how can we reach the peak? The easyer path starts from the village of Diano San Pietro. Continuing here, you pass through a rural region called 'Colla di Diano San Pietro'. The path its asphalted about until 'Cian du Bossu'. If you have an off road car you can drive further; in case of you have an ordinary car, it's advisable to park and start the hiking. If you arrive at the end of the off road with your car, you arrive directly at the beginning of the hiking trail; with this solution you need about one hour / one hour and half to reach Pizzo d'Evigno peak. If you park your car at the end of the asphalted street, you need about two hours / two hours and half to reach the peak.

We suggest to reach il Pizzo d'Evigno passing through Diano San Pietro and La Colla di Diano San Pietro because the hiking trail is in very good conditions and it's the most popular option. Besides, you can see and identify Pizzo d'Evigno peak on the panorama for a good part of your walking. You can also try the trail that starts from Evigno but this solution is a little more adventurous because the trail has some deviations during the path. In any cases, if you like hiking this option is also very interesting and you need about one hour and half to reach the peak.
